- Tomato paste, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- Ground black pepper, to taste
Method
- Rinse the beef and cut it into medium-sized chunks.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or pan and brown the beef on all sides until a nice crust forms. Then, add boiling water to cover the meat, bring to a boil, and let it simmer, covered, for 2 hours.

- Peel and wash the potatoes, then cut them into large chunks.
- Rinse both the white cabbage and Chinese cabbage, then chop them into 2.5 cm pieces.
- In the same pan, heat a bit more oil and sauté the potatoes for about 3 minutes, then transfer them to a plate.
- Sauté the onion and garlic in the pot for 2 minutes, adding oil if necessary.
- Remove the beef from the broth and add it to the onions and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes over medium heat. Add the tomato paste, bring to a boil, and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Bring the meat broth back to a boil, add the carrots and potatoes, and cook for 10 minutes.
- Combine the broth, vegetables, and beef, bringing the mixture to a boil. Add the white cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes, then add the Chinese cabbage. Stir everything together, remove from heat, and let it sit for 2-3 minutes before serving.
