Ingredients

  • 300 g cucumbers
  • 15 g fresh dill
  • 70 g cream cheese
  • 150 g smoked salmon or other cured fish
  • ½ lemon
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

Method

  1. Prepare all the ingredients by washing and chopping as needed.
  2. Finely chop the dill and mix it with the cream cheese and a pinch of black pepper to create a flavorful spread.
  3. Transfer the cheese mixture into a piping bag for easier assembly.
  4. Cut the cucumbers in half crosswise, then slice a small portion of the skin off the sides to create a stable base for the canapés.
  5. Use a small tool to scoop out the seeds from the cucumber halves.
  6. Fill the hollowed-out cucumbers with the dill cream cheese mixture and refrigerate for at least one hour to set.
  7. Slice the lemon into thin rounds after removing the peel.
  8. Once the cucumbers are chilled, cut them lengthwise into slices about 1 cm thick.
  9. Assemble the canapés by skewering a lemon slice followed by a piece of smoked salmon, then inserting it into a cucumber slice filled with cheese.
  10. Serve the cucumber canapés immediately as a refreshing addition to your party platter. Enjoy!
